For those of you who remember these (from a blog I put on here back in Janaury)...

...you might like to cast an eye over my latest passport photo (currently my profile pic). I have to renew my passport and get a new photo for my driving license this year, annoyingly. Maybe I have to get a retina scan for the passport as well, I dunno!
I'm thinking of trying out contact lenses - worth doing?

Very sweet of you to say so. Probably the dodgy beardage. I was taking Logan for a walk the other night and a girl of about 4 called across the street to me "hello pirate!".
Passport photos are a bastard aren't they really, because you get saddled with them for so long!

Yes Matt have friends with contact lenses who are quite happy with them I would say give them a try

Pro Hubby got so fed up with his he had his eyes lasered - said it was the best thing he ever did! I couldn't stick something in my eye on purpose and only wear glasses for reading so not really the person to advise - cool photos though x

Hmm, not sure I'm brave enough to let someone laser my eyeballs just yet...I think I'll give contact lenses a go!

Ah, well I would have smiled but the new instructions on your passport form say things like "don't grin" and "don't wear glasses" and so on...bloody killjoys!
mine got returned coz I'd smiled 'too much' as though if I smile in a photo that makes it less obvious when i go through passport control?

Yeah! And when you do go through passport control, make sure you look completely po-faced and a bit miserable - just to make sure they recognise you from your photo!

I've had a "friend" do that to me too - It bugs a bit doesn't it - you always wonder if maybe you inadvertently upset them, or if they just decided they didn't like you, or what? It would be nice if they would just give you a quick pm to let you know they were just trimming the numbers down and it wasn't anything you'd done or something

not too bad! i had to redo mine in february, then consiquently before i went on holiday i cut all my long blonde hair off really short, died it purple, and swapped my cons for glasses
it resulted in a lot of messy 'yes i am this person' at both gatwick, and izmir aiport . . =[

Yeah...I had to present my driving license at the local cop shop after I wrapped my Peugeot around a tree. Thing was, I had just shaved my head (as in photo number 3, top right) and the photo on my license was the top middle one with the long hair. The coppers actually laughed at me! The guy even called his mate over to have a look! I should have said, "yeah, fuck off and eat a doughnut, porky!!"

My passport, currently out of date, I am wearing appalling spex. I cannot believe I used to wear glasses that covered half my face!

Was that in the early 90s by any chance? Huge "Deirdre Barlow" specs were all over the shop at that time! Now, it's all post-modern...

There are a few episodes of the X Files that really date it to that time, simply because Scully or someone else has these vast glasses on that look like they might be recycled tv screens!

They are never good, the last lot we had taken i looked demented and my husband looked like a criminal.lol.

Yeah, the criminal look is quite an easy one to achieve in a passport photo. Just stare a bit and the bloody machine does the rest!

You look a bit like Johnny Depp in the botton left one. Ah, the last passport style photos I got were terrible because I was heavily medicated and I look proper fucked in them. I hate seeing them.
