Indeed!!
He responded just to say that?!
If that was the punchiest comeback he could think of, then I feel sorry for him!!
xD
He obviously took your comment very personally. Maybe he's a secret member of the band. Eitherway, I'm sure there should be something more importnat he has to do than write two sentences. I wonder if his mom knows what he's up to.
Ha ha!
I never quite see the point in adding reviews based solely on objective taste... it's always been one of the most bizarre features on Amazon to me.
With the wide variation of musical tastes in the world I could look on there are find people giving Daniel O'Donnell a 5 star rating, wouldn't stop me thinking he was crap.
Likewise I'm sure there are comments regarding Green Day or The Arrogant Worms rating it badly because the reviewer simply doesn't like the band... so of course it wont be for them and will receive a bad review... But I'm still probably going to like it.
Rating electrical goods for reliability or features, even rating music if the packaging was a cardboard sleeve and the CD was scratched seems infinitely logical as that sort of quality is something everyone can agree on.
But I find it very hard to take any music review seriously on Amazon for the simple fact I know you could take 10 people, play them a CD and probably on average 2 will think it's great, 2 will think it's crap and 8 will be in grey areas in-between... So I wonder what sort of person bases their music buying habits on the recommendations or criticisms of a stranger.
couldnt agree more on this one. music is one of the most personal things you can find and can only be reviewed as such. someone who finds rap unlistenable and retarded is not going to enjoy a tribe called quest, no matter how excellent the reviews are. i know people who cant stand dark side of the moon, or in utero, or ok computer, despite their almost universal acclaim. i never bother to read the reviews on sites like that, not least because i never bother buying music anymore. theres no such thing as an objective music review, its human nature for this to be impossible.
Well this is it. I enjoy writing reviews, cos it's a laugh, but at the end of the day it's just one person's opinion. I'm amazed people get wound up because someone doesn't like their favourite band.
These views are supposed to be subjective anyway, everyone has their own ideas about music, still, it gives you someone to argue with on a playground level at least lol x
Ah, well that's why I'm bowing out of the discussion, it's getting a bit undignified!!
He sounds really idiotic!!
I suspect he's just some spotty teen with no girlfriend and nothing better to do.
