Not before time either...

I must admit I've watched BB as a guilty pleasure fairly often, but whatever saddo appeal it once had has long since worn paper-thin. Even Davina has tried to jump ship several times only to grudgingly come back to pretend enthusiasm after yet another pay rise. Rubbish. The glory days of the dream team of Davina on BB, Dermot on BBLB and Russell Brand on BBBM seem like a long long time ago.

Plus, the fact that the contestants come out of it expecting a media career waiting for them on a plate gets more and more sick-making every year.

Anyone else care to confess to a sad past addiction to BB??

oh my god that has cheered me up!

I bloody hated that show. I think I watched the first one.. like years ago.. but no really. No addiction to BB here. I am so glad it is ending.

I have watched the 1st programme to see what (not who) is going into the house but after that I do my best to avoid hearing about it, watching it, or even talking about it.

It's no longer a social experiment like the 1st series was now it's just for people to try and get famous quickly, and if that doesn't work then they take their clothes off for lads mags and get snapped falling out of clubs drunk, that usually works quite well for them.

oh me, I am a secret BB fan, however due to me mum having high blood pressure and the fact she actually get's quite scarey when she's shouting at the tv on nomination/eviction nights, i banned it last year however my sis rosiebud and her still carried on watching it, so only i missed out doh!

it's not the social experiment anymore, Mrs H the 3rd is correct, it's a load of wannabe's with nothing to give really

i didn't miss it at all last year which is quite sad as at one point I could name all the housemates from each series lol! xxx

  It's just been getting crapper and crapper ever year really. I will confess that I was actually in the audience for Big Brother's Big Mouth a couple of years ago, those 2 losers from Gavin & Stacey were presenting it. Don't knock it, it was free booze - we were twatted! There was hardly anyone there, they had to ask us all to squash up so they film it in such a way as to make the studio look full. I tell you what, if you think the contestants are sad wannabe's you should see some of the tossers who turn up for that - failed wannabe's!!

  Hello my name is Rosie and I'm a Big Brother addict.
  
  Well I feel better now I've declared myself to the world.
  Fact is I honestly love it. They turn up on the first night and I am so under whelmed. "Who the hell are these bunch of no marks?!" I say.
  By week 4 I am glued to the TV I will even stay up late into the night when there is something interesting going on in the house.
  My best friend Dean and I analyse all house mate interactions. He hate (Makosi)and love (Stu) some people. We get tearful even when people we wanted to be booted out go.
  I even occasionally use catch phrases like "Who is she!" and "No naked jacuzziness!" and "Yeah man bottom line is.."
  
  By the way Bo is very right our Mother does get incredibly angry with these total strangers one of the things she hates most is them not doing house work, that really upsets her.
  
  The thing is the people who go in to the house know that they do stand a chance of being famous after it, Bo is right they are wannabes and they are very careful what they say and do in the house. Which is why I think Big Brother lets in some people with mental health issues or emotional problems because they are far less able to self censor and it makes for better TV.
  
  By the end of the series I am bereft with out those strangers. As Dean says when the last one leaves the house. "They all leave us in the end." Yeah but they don't go away they will be in OK magazine next week and The Sun on Sunday giving away sex secrets from inside the house. LOL!

    Now, anyone who talks about themself in the third person is a mentalist in my book, but describing yourself as "remarkable" on national tv...mad bitch!

      Oh yes indeed she was like a character in a surreal play. Before I saw her antics I had no idea that people behaved like that.
      As for the wig that got more like a brillo pad each week. By the time she was evicted even my head was itching LOL!

I think I'm one of the few people who does still watch it, but not for the same reasons I used to. The first couple of years were pretty entertaining and interesting viewing, before it became a farm for wannabe Z listers. The only reason I still watch it is because I find it hilarious to see how seriously contestants take themselves, what lengths they will go to to 'win', and how the producers clearly have no respect for them and will make them look utter arses at every mildly malicious opportunity.

And I fancy Davina.

But I won't miss it when it goes.

    She is very sexy, providing you ignore the hair dye adverts - she's a bit of a tard in those. I like seeing what her eviction outfit will be each week. I know, I'm sad!
    
    I LOVE the first night of BB, the videos they all make of themselves - "I'm mad, I'm wicked, I'm fun!" - Crowd: "Slaaaaag!". I don't start watching it again until a week later when they've finally stopped exclaiming at the funky furniture.
    
    Argh, I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to BB all of a sudden...

Ditto. Tis my guilty pleasure. I have been an avid watcher since 14 but now at 22, I think I have grown tired of it, and possible matured! I never really liked the celeb version though!

  I loved the celeb BB with Pete Burns, great selection of characters on that. Plus I enjoyed laughing at the likes of Preston, Chantelle, and Jodie Marsh.

hate it with a vengeance. First season was vaguely interested in the 'social experiment' side of things, but it drove (drives) me potty how people get so engrossed in the lives of sad nobodys. And then they do 'Bring back a Hasbeen (Celeb?) Big Brother' too!

My ears are steaming with hate! But then I can't stand soaps either, and the Apprentice is another just as bad, when they ARE new and experimental I can understand but now? Surely Alan Sugar has a)enough cash he doesn't need to do this, b) enough exposure not to need to do this, c) enough people applying to work for him without it, d) a HR/recruitment department who handle recruitment for him?

I used to love it, and in 2001 when the midwives changed shift in the 23rd hour of my labour, my main concern was whether Paul had avoided eviction because I wanted him to stay in the house with Helen (and I'd spent the previous night watching the live feed to try to take my mind off the contractions).

I began to lose interest the year Victor and Jason were allowed to get away with the most abominable bullying. It's been downhill bigtime since then. I used to watch it for the interesting human interaction. Now I watch it like I watch Jeremy Kyle - because we don't have Roman-type arenas or public executions yet.

I used to love it and I even cried when Nadio won (remember the transexual who couldn't live without her cigerettes?) My partner and I were staying in a hotel in London and we came home early fromt he restaurant to watch the final
I don't like it anymore though. I did love Russell on BBBM though. Stopped watching after he jumped ship

Hate it. I watched it religiously one year to see what the fuss was about. The following year I watched the entry day and the Friday kick outs. Subsequently I haven't bothered. My braincells are dying quick enough due to age thanks!
