I'm going to be moderating the comments on here for a while. Don't take it personally, it's just that some cretin posted a load of spam comments with links to decidedly dodgy sites and I'd rather that didn't happen!
Has this been happening to everyone?

I had some comment linking to a website to do with contraception and pregnancy!
I have had people commenting on three week old posts with the old "Great post - if you would like to buy leather jackets/handbags/holiday bargains click on..."
they are really annoying and far too common.
Not had any links to "dodgy" sites - do you mean filth?
I am suprised (given the amount of smut I spout) that I have not had any on my blog.

Yeah, the first ones were links to "filth" sites, shall we say! I've just deleted another 18 of em! Fuckers!

That happens to me as well, which is why my comments section is moderated to friends only. Friends can post a message, everyone else has to get approved.
Yes, to me. I'd been dealing with that for a week or - deleting those damn comments with milions of links to suspect sites. Then I posted a complaint. Next time I got a notification of their "comment", Blog.uk deleted it for me and I think, they also blocked them because I heard no more of them.
Complain, complain, young man! Make yuor voice heard and they will go away.

Pro Yup, you're not the only one...tell BCUK the IP address and they've managed to get rid of a whole load recently...real pain...GBHs...XX

I only get them in personal messages.
I have had a few of those lately. Strangely enough, they never leave them on new posts, just to old ones.

Pro Yes I have loads of trouble with them, the buggers. I have mine on moderated now as well apart from those who are on my friends list.

Spammers always hit most at this time of year. They dont spam my normal blog, just my consumer blog. I just delete them.
