I must admit I have accounts with Myspace and Facebook, both of which are great ways to spend hours on the computer without actually doing anything. I can't really be bothered with Myspace any more, and Facebook is starting to bore me as well. Does anyone else use either of this sites?

I love my facebook, maybe because I am nosey and like looking at other peoples photos?

Well that's certainly a good place to do it!

Both, but i am getting bored of My Space.

MySpace is too glittery. I quite like Facebook, I can't stand all the applications etc but I do have a lot of friends living all over the country and it's a good way to keep in touch and up to date.

Yeah...I think everyone I've ever worked with has popped up on Facebook at some point!

Oh I don't care about those, if people I hardly know add me, I take a peek at their profile then delete them after a week or so, so that they don't notice.
It amuses me when they add me again a month or so later.

Not on either!!!
Most of me mates are on facebook and I keep getting harrassed to join!! But not so keen people will be able to find me!!! lol!!!-
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 14:42:35
It doesn't make you any easier to find - you can always just ignore people! Various people have turned up on my Facebook that I'm happy to send a message to but in all likelihood will never see again.

I recently went on facebook and have no idea what it is for. People say it's good for photos or this and that, but it is just so dull looking and meh!
I would have thought you would use Myspace to put up more of your bands stuff, or was it just your own site?
-
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 14:38:42
The band is on both, but I doubt it does us much good really.

Nick you would say that... you're old!!! Band... what band? I wanna see!

Aha, well if you look at my earlier blogs there's one called "Cambian Dawn, plugging my marvellous band" or something similar! All the links and suchlike are on there.

I have tried myspace but I just don't like the format. You end up getting spammed and friended by people selling things. I recently went back on facebook but I just don't get it.

I have a facebook, but find it really boring - applications and what-not are pointless.
I only joined blog.co.uk to record some thoughts so I can refer back to them in the future. As it turns out, I use this site way more than any other, and find the community here vibrant and interesting.
Cheers,

I think Myspace is looking really tired, and Facebook seems just as pointless really.
Blog.co.uk does seem a lot more interesting. -
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 15:58:54
I have a myspace page, but the DNS blocker at work won't let me on it. So it just sits idle.
-
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 16:00:27
They're both blocked at work here too, also things like Ebay, Flickr, Photobucket...

- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 16:03:09
Those I can get on to with out any problem. Myspace is a social networking site, so it got banned.

Don't use MySpace, although have an unused account with it! Signed up to Facebook in the last semester of my degree, and spent far too much time on it!

-
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 17:21:24
I've used both , though I don't like MySpace at all.
It's bitty and fussy and not very user friendly.
Facebook is what you make it. I've been on Facebook for about a year and no complaints whatsoever. It's rather like a magazine that you flick through now and then

That's a good comparison, I like that!

i use FB because you can set very tight restrictions on who finds me - most of my students have FB accounts but i only let them add me once they've graduated. i dont use it much but it is a good way to stay in touch with people (especially old students). the photo space is great but it means that there are millions of beery night out pics up there!

This is true...you can't control who puts up photos of you on FB, no matter how incriminating they may be!
-
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 18:42:55
I am on facebook...it's great for finding old friends etc....But has no real purpose after that!! -x-

I succumbed to facebook, used to have practically all the social sites possible, myspace, hi5, bebo u name it! Now i stick to FB!! I prefer it better!

-
- Thursday, Sep. 04, 2008 @ 08:18:14
I was on hi5 very briefly, didn't like it at all. MS and FB are more than enough for me.
-
- Wednesday, Sep. 03, 2008 @ 20:57:33
I'm not on either of them, and I have no intention of being on either of them at any point in the future. I'm finding it hard enough keeping up with this site.
-
- Thursday, Sep. 04, 2008 @ 08:22:26
I'm toying with the idea of deleting one or both accounts...if either one went, it would be Myspace.
-
- Thursday, Sep. 04, 2008 @ 08:35:08
Neither, for similar reasons to those you stated.
-
- Friday, Sep. 05, 2008 @ 12:39:40
I've got Facebook and Bebo, although I'm not really sure I'm utilising either effectively. I don't really 'get it'. I also have a My Space account but I only opened it and then left it. I prefer blog, loads more. It's more linear, which is how my mind works.

I was about to say that I am probably the only person in the world not on either. But I see that I am not alone after all.

I am on facebook, but rarely log in. As for My Space, I can't stand the lay out and ... well, the whole thing, really. The glitter, the clumsiness of it.
I never have anything to do on facebook. Except perhaps, look at the odd photo of a new baby, or a drunk friend. Which is nice.
Chyna_Doll
Not either although I have thought about joining FB today, perhaps
