During the British so-called summer we Brits persist in expecting approximately three months' worth of hot dry weather, then complain bitterly if we get anything else (which is highly likely, what with it being Britain).

Now it's September, and we don't expect any such thing. Therefore any decent weather we do get will seem like a bonus. Yeah? With the weight of expectation (and its attendant disappointment) removed, we can just chill out and take September as it comes.

Who's with me??
